Hi All;
My first posting on here. I was diagnosed Type 2 in 2008. Have been on Metformin but, due to a dreadful diet was not getting very far. Two months ago I finally got a grip, I drastically overhauled my diet and have lost 6kg so far. My hiab is now the lowest since diagnosed but at my annual MOT this year the doc wants to put me on Glyclazide. I really believe that persevering with the strict new dieting regime plus, of course, lots of exercise, makes this unnecessary as my hiab is dropping. I really don't want to live in fear of hypos and so have taken the decision not to take the 'glycs'. There are other reasons I am so averse to the possibility of hypos so, for me, this is the chosen route. Everyone is different and I would not advocate my choice for anyone else.
Hope you are all happy and that, eventually, summer will arrive.
