Hi all

Fayth had her first Hypo this last week.

Kinda glad to get the first one out of the way. It was only a mild one but still a worry for us. She was great though. She went pale and got her words a bit muddled. Afterward she said she felt very shaky.

I'm really glad she had it at home with us and not out or at school. She knows what to look out for now for when they come along again.

Just wanted to share lol.

Oh, bless - it is a milestone, Jon! For all of you.

However the Gypsy's Warning - not all hypos are the same. Hopefully they will all be recognisable, but sometimes the symptoms are slightly different and for me, they tend to differ in feelings dependent on whether the BG is 'taking an absolute nosedive' or whether it's 'sliding gently downwards'. I can't comment on 'what I look like' cos I don't actually know, though my work colleagues used to say I would get a particular sort of 'set' to my mouth, which would usually cause someone to INSIST that I test - if they noticed !

I think that you are great looking for the positive in the experience. At home in an atmosphere she felt comfortable with.

I hope that the school have been given instructions as to what to do if she has a hypos at school.

Bigs hugs to Fayth who must have been a bit scared when it happened.
