First HbA1c result

Hi all, I know I haven't been on here much recently, but had some good news yesterday and thought i'd share it as we all like good news 😛

Had my first HbA1c result yesterday since being diagnosed in February and it was 6.5%.

I'm not entirely sure on what i means and why it's a percentage, just know it's a review of the past 3 months. However, doctor said it was very good and others i've spoken to say similar things so...
