Hello All
Had my first Hba1c test since diagnosis last week and it was down from 49 to 48 not as much as I would have liked but in the right direction. Was also happy to see my cholesterol was down from 6.2 to 5.7 (not got the breakdown yet) this is just diet and exercise and lower carb and normal fat (not low fat processed rubbish) so I was quite pleased with that.. but not sure what the diabetes nurse will say at the final "Diabetes School" session next Tuesday. I don't wish to take statins so I hope she will not pressure me to take them as if she does I may have to be non compliant!
I also lost a pound (was not trying to lose weight as don't need to) so now I am nine stone five.
So will carry on with what I am doing (hopefully) I do really find that exercise makes a HUGE difference if I have a lazy day and don't do much walking my blood sugars are slightly higher.
Just hoping the DSN agrees I can carry on with diet and exercise!
