First go at overnight oats, will see what they are like in the morning?

As another new food for me to try as part of my food re-introduction, I am having a go at "overnight" oats.

Bought a couple of "Mason" jars, eg: empty jam jars, Lol.

I've watched a few YouTube vids, and a few different recipes, and the recipe I have settled on is:
100% rolled oats, Greek yoghurt, almond milk (unsweetened), frozen summer fruits, some Chia seeds, and a small dash of Maple syrup. Imay also add a few nuts in the morning, don't want them to go soggy!

Now in the fridge, will see how it is in the morning.
I know you can eat them cold, but I assume you can also heat them up, in a saucepan, or in the microwave?
Cheers

Love overnight oats. Really filling and really tasty.

Manuka honey makes a great alternative to mapel syrup and it's supposedly a little more healthy. Both are great on overnight oats though.

Blueberries and raspberries are my go to for the fruit.

Well tried the oats this morning and they were great, so that's another good recipe / meal choice banked.
Was a tiny bit thin, so will either add a few more oats or a bit less liquid next time.
Was also a tiny bit sweet, so will add less maple syrup (or honey) next time.
The frozen fruits were mostly strawberries and raspberries, so it went a nice pink colour overnight.
I had it cold, but will also try it hot.
But all in all a success, so I can happily recommend to anyone who is looking for something to eat in the morning.
NB: I took my BG levels b4 the meal, (4.9) and will take again after couple of hours to see how the meal affected my BG and will report back, although everyone's response may be different..... 😎

Ok, so just for completeness my BG levels 2 hrs after the overnight oats were 6.3 (pre meal was 4.9) so less than 1.5 rise, so all good. NB: obviously your response to such a meal may be different to mine.
Cheers

Glad to read that it works for you @pjgtech - with any grain, my insides just regard it as a challenge to strip out every last milligram of carbs in the least possible time.
