As most of you are aware I have been struggling for ages to get the right treatment for my diabetes.
I eventually got a hospital referral which was on the 5th May and he recommended a few things for my gp to try.
I had a gp appointment on the 31st May and the decision was made (jointly) for me to give metformin another try.
All my medication was previously taken in the morning with breakfast.
So now my medication is, 60mg Gliclizide and a combined 12.5mg Empagliflozin an 1000mg metformin with breakfast then a combined 12.5mg Empagliflozin an 1000mg metformin with dinner. This seems to finally be doing the trick.
My waking bg levels seem to be coming down nicely now. Lets hope they continue on this downwards path.
31/05/16 - 11.1
01/06/17 - 10.8
02/06/17 - 10
03/06/17 - 9.6
04/06/17 - 10.7
05/06/17 - 10
06/06/17 - 9.7
07/06/17 - 10.2
08/06/17 - 9.8
09/06/17 - 9.1
10/06/17 - 9.2
11/06/17 - 8.6
12/06/17 - 8.3

It's coming down very nicely. Must be such a relief for you seeing lower waking figures.

Glad you have finally been listened too and are getting the results you want love x

Onwards and downwards! Must be such a relief after worrying about your high levels for so long.

Thank goodness something's starting to work at last. Hope things continue to improve for you Stitch.

The sadness and madness is that you've had to fight tooth and nail for this Stitch. Had you not been home testing and monitoring this yourself, the medics would probably have settled on the Hb results as not too desperate which certainly doesn't reflect the reality for you.

Onwards and downwards Stitch! 🙂

Aye, great news Stitch. Let's hope the improvement continues, and I agree with Amigo, if you hadn't been testing you would never have known.

Fingers crossed for a consistent single figure future🙂!

Good!! and Phew - that was b.... hard work for you. So well done that woman!

It's great to seeing your BG dropping at last, Stitch!😛:D😛 As others have said, it's all down to your tenacity (I certainly wouldn't mess with you🙄). 😉

Thanks to everyone on here for your continued support.
