Is anyone else experiencing issues getting the fiasp cartridges? Have been having on and off supply issues with it not coming in for close to a year now and beginning to get rather frustrated as I was changed to the cartridge after the pen supply issue. My pharmacy are wanting me to go back to Novo rapid which I would rather not as prefer how fast fiasp works! Thanks!

Not had any problems myself getting Fiasp cartridges. Sometimes it is more a warehouse issue than an actual shortage and if you shop around at other pharmacies in your area you will likely find one supplied by a different warehouse which has it in stock. Independent pharmacies are usually good because they are not tied via a franchise to a specific supplier, so they can ring around to get some. I used to have to get a paper prescription for my HRT when there was an international shortage and then ring round local pharmacies until I found one that had some in stock, ask them to hold it for me and take my paper prescription to them for dispensing.

A friend of mine has been having challenges getting Fiasp in vials off and on this year I think.

Partly seems to be related to Ozempic (and other GLP-1) shortages.

I have read of shortages/ supply issues a few times over the past few years actually, but my chemist has always been unaware when I have broached it with them and said that they have never had an issue (local 'non affiliated' chemist).

I have been asked a couple of times by my DSN if I want to move from FIASP back to Novorapid now I am on a pump as apparently the benefits of FIASP come from injecting and are not really as effective via a pump. I just know that I found Novorapid was nowhere near swift enough for me.

Fortunately have not had too many problems (had to wait a couple of days rather than next day for cartridges) - don't fancy going back to Novorapid as for me it's not so rapid

My gp changed me from pens to cartridge when there was a pen supply issue, not having problems with supply at the moment, I’ve found the Fiasp and novorapid work very similarly for me, but I like the half unit functionality with the Echo plus pen

I’ve had no issues getting backup cartridges, I use the vials as I have the pump but my DSN told me to always have spares of the penfills.

I use pharmacy2u and they are very speedy and I have had no issues since I moved from a local one in August.
