Today feeling yucky, irritable, muggy head. headaches when lifting it off the pillow or move it around, toes are tingling more and eyes are a bit tender.

Maybe time to ignore the doctor again, BS has been high for me most of the day.

11:40 pm 10.2 not been this high at this time of night for months, thought the 9.3 the other day was bad enough. like to be in the 5.0's at this time.

9:30 pm 11.9 another high after tea.

1:30 pm 9.0 tested just after eating 2 slices of white bread with turkey, (ran out of wholemeal). forgot to test before eating, normally would be in the mid to high 4.0's.

12:20 pm 7.1 should be in the 5.0's

8:30 am 4.8 at least this is more my normal reading.

At the moment looks like the doctors getting his way, BS starting its way back up, time to have words with another doctor next week. Already brassed off with this readings, as its undoing the work I have put in. 😡 😡 😡

You definitely need to see another doc or as I was told to do change your surgery, can you get a referral to a proper diabetes clinic at a hospital pav?
lets hope you can get something sorted soon 🙂

Will need to ring midweek to get x-ray results, depending on what they show could be the time to speak with a better doctor, and will have more numbers to back me up by then.

You need some good news and a good result my friend 🙂

Why is your doc wanting you to run your levels higher? Hope you feel better soon 🙂

If the x-ray is clear will mean more tests, came of Ramipril last Weds and still coughing well.

2 hours after lunch today was 12.2, a bit of that was my fault as had a bit treat a plain tea cake about 2 or 3 currents in it and no sugar topping.

Trying to work out NHS choices and NICE guide lines to work out what meds are available doc says no to what I thought I could try.

Nice tends to back him up, as a blanket cover excluding the not tailoring treatment to the patient. NHS choices says if obese one can be put on the meds that I was enquiring about as Wiki says I am obese as BMI is greater than 30.

Wiki says I am at 6' 2" and around 114 kgs.

Doc says 44 is too low for type 2 and wants me back up to 50, I feel better at 44 would like to eliminate the spikes more which would at a guess knock a couple more points off the 44. Don't get anywhere as much tingling in the toes and the optician had to reduce the strength of the lens in my glasses a lot, Which means better news for my eyes.

To get to 50 which is what he wants, he told me to eat more, which means more carbs and more weight gain. 😡

 Sounds like you need to prescribe yourself a different doctor! Surely the goal is to achieve an Hba1c as close as possible to someone without diabetes, whilst not risking severe hypoglycaemia. Eating more is a very strange recommendation if you are already overweight. Can you see another GP?

I wonder what your doctor would say to me - I'm a T2 and mine was 33! My doc was very smiley and said to carry on with what I'm doing.

Hopefully I can get to see another doctor, a couple of the others were quite happy for my BS in the 20's, think that rules them out as well.

The doctor that's supposed to be the diabetic doctor, I don't trust as they said there was nothing wrong with mom, then had to have a ambulance out shortly after them seeing mom.

LeeLee with a 33, they would want you hooked up to a glucose drip 24 / 7 :D :D :D

Not have a good day only the first one of the day has been reasonable the rest have not been below 9.0

Even the treat for driving was not required, normally use about 4 strips on a Sunday shop as out for a while and do a detour on the way back. Only needed to do 2 tests as levels stayed above 9.0 and 9.2. :(

Just checked before tea and its 9.7 :(
