I'm feeling like my head is in a big black cloud this morning, I am very depressed.

I forgot to take my dinner time insulin last night, and a couple of hours later, when I remembered, my blood sugars were 26 😱 I took my insulin then but felt really ill. My whole body was twitching and hurting, then I was sick during the night leading to a hypo later on that morning. I felt really rubbish this morning (the chronic fatigue thing) and it took me half an hour to put my clothes on because I felt too tired to move. As a result I am feeling really upset, I need to get out and talk to people but don't have the energy to go anywhere and wouldn't be good company anyway! To add to that, I can't remember certain parts of last night either, not sure what happened?

Oh dear Natalie, I'm sorry to hear this :( Do you think you might have had a hypo in the night? That might account for you feeling particularly tired and down this morning, it certainly drains the energy out of me. Also, such high levels would definitely make me feel very sick.

I hope that things become brighter for you as the day goes on - are there any uplifting DVDs you could watch if you don't feel like going out, or is there someone you could talk to on the phone?

Thanks Northerner. I did go low in the night but woke up (3.8) checked several times so I don't think I missed another one. I could phone my Nanny and Granddad! Brilliant plan, and have a cup of tea 🙂

So sorry you had such an aweful night Natalie, but today will get better for sure. I cant help on the diabetes as I'm a know nothing🙂 but at least I can offer you my empathy, when your down, the next stage is up. Get that cuppa and phone your Nan.🙂

That's what Im going to do when I get home. Haven't made up my mind whether to go for lots of tongue in cheek blood and gore al la "Shoot em Up" with Clive Owen (the body count is in the hundreds before the titles have finished) or comic book blood and gore (mostly green) as in Mars Attacks! with Jack Nicholson and Pierce Brosnan. Both very silly films but great fun if you're in a bloodthirsty mood. All that death and destruction will really cheer me up, I'll need earplugs for the yodelling though or I might explode.

Uplifting? Hmm, maybe.

Hugs Natalie, I hope you feel better soon.

Sending you (((((HUGS))))) Natalie and hope you feel better soon.

sending hugs Natalie. Hopefully that was all just last night and as the days moves on you'll start feeling better 🙂

Get on the phone with your Nan - they can talk for England and I'm sure will cheer you up in no time!

Thanks all, feeling a little better today but still a little tearful. My Nan is on a cruise at the moment so I couldn't phone after all - what a week to chose for a holiday!

Aw, that's a shame :( Not for her obviously! Glad to hear you are feeling a little brighter today though Natalie. Try and do something nice for yourself today, perhaps a little something that you've been meaning to do so you can tick off an achievement - always makes me feel a bit better by the end of the day 🙂

Maybe turn the TV on and watch film four with a nice cup of tea or coffee 🙂 Or read a good book. Let us know how you are later on, if you can. Take care Sheena
