Hi there all,
All fine BS good, and BP is steady. just wondered. I used to drink a lot of tea, but since diagnosed with T2D I have cut back loads. However lately I have noticed that after just one cup of tea I'm feeling very blotted indeed. Does anyone else feel like this? I was wondering if it could be the milk (skimmed) that does it, although its not very much, or could it be the tea its self?
let me have your thoughts, just interested to see what folks think.
Regards
Phil

Hi Phil, I can't think why the tea might do that, I drink lots of tea with skimmed milk every day. Have you changed your diet in other ways since diagnosis? It may be a consequence of that, if so - or does it happen whenever you have a cup of tea?

Hi Northerner,, yes its just when I have a cuppa, diet, well yes over the last 12 months since being diagnosed I have, and lost some 3 stone. its just when I have a tea, it feels like I've had a roast dinner or a like. its an odd feeling. I believe its most lightly the tea itself doing it.

Do you get the same problem with coffee? I wonder if it's a dairy intolerance - are you OK with cheese? Does it take long to feel better?

I drink a couple of pints of tea in a day, no milk, with no problem other that I’m addicted. The easiest way to see if it’s the milk causing the bloated feeling, try it without milk. Let your tea taste of tea.

Probably nothing to do with your problem. My dear old mum who loved a cuppa would always say tea gave her wind. I don’t know if it was a polite excuse for belching, but she swore tea bloated her and of course produced her wind.
