So....yesterday I was given my HbA1c result of 41🙂 Still in non diabetic range but.. I half expected it mindful that I was taking steroids & antibiotics prior to Christmas that more than likely impacted my bgls. However my GP was pleased. Last two HbA1c's were 33 and 31.
I was also given my Trigs result. Not good at all
After giving me a stern but gentle warning my GP insisted that I should take statins to potentially avoid CVD (Cardio Vascular Disease) This is serious business and has scared me somewhat. Aarrrggghhh! Last time I was prescribed statins I couldn't tolerate them coz they caused nausea & vomiting. My GP took this into consideration and prescribed Rosuvastatin Aristo saying I should be able to tolerate this med and wants me to have my bloods taken in three months. So....time to adjust my diet and exercise regime ~ tho the exercise might cause some difficulty due to current health issues but I'll give it my best shot. I've been concentrating on my Diabetes bgls so much so that I've inadvertently overlooked taking care of my Cholesterol
Lesson learned!
My Hypothyroidism is a little off target but only just and to have bloods in three months. *Have also been prescribed iron tabs for anaemia. To say I'm a walking Chemist is an understatement but hey ho I'm still breathing!
So it's back to the drawing board for *Wirralass!
