Personally I would not eat before 5.30 pm So if that is the case then inject at 5pm. Breakfast I wouldn't inject any later than 8 AM.

You will get there take small steps and don't be so impatient 😛

Sorry....I no I must come across a bit ...well thick!!.....im just trying my best to take it all in and do my best as quick as I can....but I understand I need to chill a bit....just soooo much to take in 😱

If you think it might help, how about writing down a daily plan to follow until you get used to it. You could then use the plan as a guide to help you work out what to do next. A sort of Rough Guide to your diabetes that you can adjust until you work out what suits you.

No you don't come across as thick 😱 just confuzzled just the same as everyone else does when new to insulin 🙂

WE more or less all used to be on mixed insulins or slowish-acting so-called 'fast' insulins years ago, Ant.

I tell you what I used to do! Spuds take 20 minutes to cook, give or take after you put them on to boil starting with cold water. Then you have to drain everything and dish up.

So I would light the gas under the spuds and then, straight away, have my jab. Just after that, they'd be boiling and I could turn em down to a simmer, so it prevented me forgetting them and letting em boil dry!

I always found that worked well with main meals where stuff like that needs to cook.
