I'm going to the GP to sign me off of work because I can't keep on top of everything that I need to do - so work has said that I must be classed as off sick. I'm really worried about losing my job but I know that I have to put my health first.

Hope your feeling better in yourself soon your not a failure 🙂 keep your chin up

you have NOT failed.... it is important to put your health first... if you dont then how can you do owt else anyway.... big hugs hope you are feeling better and more on top of things soon x

Sometimes it is important to give yourself proper time and space.

It might be that you have been functioning 'properly' at work with so much on your plate so a healthier you is better/more productive/more efficient for them rather than just limping along indefinitely 'just coping'. Hope your employer is supportive and understanding - if they aren't - they aren't worth working for anyway!

Amanda you are the LAST person I would call a failure & one of the first I would call an inspiration!! Sometimes we all just need to give our bodies a chance to get back on a level footing - you've had so much on your plate to deal with recently I'm not surprised a bit of r&r is required! Don't feel guilty, focuss on getting better so you can get back in the saddle again. (((((hugs!!!))))) xx

Thank you everyone your supportive messages really, really mean a lot to me. I've just been to the GP and will have at least two weeks of sick leave. She has said that even if the blood test and x-rayresults are ok they will still probably refer me to a rheumatologist because of my ESR and other symptoms. She also checked my hip and confirmed what the physio had said about problems with the internal rotation in my hip. 43 and falling a apart😱 To be honest I've now got a sense of relief that I can have two weeks of resting and hopefully recovering.

AJ you have far from failed - life sometimes throws horrible things in the path to try us and with a little rest and recuperation things are back on track. Enjoy and relax with your time of - make it all about you time my love xxx

Thank you Di.

You have absolutely not failed, Amanda. The others are right. Di is spot on in that sometimes life throws a 'curve ball' right at you and you just have to make the decision to think about 'you' for once rather than others. It sounds as if you have found a sensible GP here who will give you the support you need. Take the help with both hands and I am sure with a little rest and some professional advice, you will be back on your feet again soon. Look after you! Love and hugs. Katiex
