Since that stubborn hypo on Wednesday my levels seem to have been all over the place, it's getting really frustrating and really getting to me but people don't seem to understand :( x

Ahhh sorry you are feeling so upset, knowing nothing about type 1 I cant offer any advise but do hope your levels sort themselves out soon. I can send you big (hugs!!!) though. x

Give it time I get frustrated a lot to especially with the amount of hypos I have had and still have during the day if not night

Sorry to hear that Kaylz. Hope your levels settle down soon.

I understand and it's flipping frustrating when your levels don't behave. Have a good scream and swearing helps a lot as well :D I know that it doesn't seem like it now but you will find that a combination of screaming, swearing plus some alcohol starts to make it not seem so bad. I hope that your levels settle soon. Big hugs xx

(((hugs))) It'll even itself out eventually I'm sure. You always seem to eat so well.

@Ditto I do eat well but I always have this problem for a few days after a bad hypo, I hope I'm not the only one guys, I think its just a chain reaction/after effect, I've not been overly high but my meter is throwing correction doses at me like god knows what and I'm not willing to take the risk at some levels, I just really wish they would hurry up and settle :( xx

Sorry to see your upset K- you know I'm unable to help on T1's hypos & insulin - i don't have the know - but until your confidence returns - try to relax else your bgls will begin to play up even more - hope you feel better soon x

I'm not sure why but I'm always drawn to your posts. You post so honestly that it always touches me.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with type 1 diabetes. I have type 2 and while I cannot eat what I want it does mean with my diet I can control my diabetes while those with type 1 HAVE to rely on medication and it all seems more stressful and life changing.

So while I have no advice for you I do want to give you a hug xx

Yep. I know what you mean. I think people often don't get it because they seem to think that it's a case of take medicine and everything will be okay. The general public Usually don't realise the amount of work that goes in, or the fact it's an art not a science.

We all go through the frustration. Hugs.

So frustrating when the levels go walkabout for no rhyme or reason and no one understands. Please know you are doing your best, you always work so hard and deserve to be supported. Sometimes non diabetics just want us to say we have it sorted and everything's ok. It's great you can get support from this forum, sending hugs and support.

It happens. I've had a right rollercoaster of a day level wise and I've done and eaten nothing out of the ordinary. ii

My levels have been up and down all week it's a nitemare...and I'm still on set doses haven't been told how to carb count and corrections what little I have been told I don't understand I get very confused witch don't take much to confuse me...I've tried looking it up on the Internet but that's even more confusing so I have now given up :( hope you get yours sorted soon 🙂

Sorry to change the thread slightly, but do you have an appt with your consultant/DSN coming up @lesley from Chelmsford ? I was originally put on mixed insulin i.e. Fixed doses, but I asked to be moved to basal/bolus (MDI) My consultant was fine about it and agreed it was much more flexible. I'd request an appt and ask to change if I was you, it is much better despite all the carb counting. Re the carb counting, all I got was an appt at which the nurse read through a leaflet which she then gave me 🙄 - total waste of our time as she could have just sent me it. I learnt what I know about carb counting from this forum and the DUK website.
Fixed insulin is really restrictive and I found my levels much easier to control with MDI.

@Kaylz, really sorry you're having a rough time. Unfortunately it is one of the joys of D. At least you know why it is happening. It will get back to normal. Just continue to scream, rant and kick the flippin DF until it does :D

Thanks for all the support guys it's greatly appreciated 🙂 @lesley from Chelmsford push your team for more help, carb counting really would change your life and as for corrections I'm very wary as Friday night at bed time I corrected an 11.8 and only came down to 8.6 by the Morning, last night I was 10.6 at bed time didn't correct and woke to 5.9 so trying to judge when to correct isn't easy xx

Speak to your DSN and push them to put you on a course which will explain it all and what you need to do, its so much more practical to be able to carb count and adjust doses

Hard for me to understand as I do not inject and unaware of what corrections mean but hope that it settles down for you.
