It was Beethoven's Triple concerto this morning. It hardly ever gets an airing, which made it all the more enjoyable.
I suddenly had a yen for Verdi the other night. I used to sing in one of the large London choruses, many years ago when I lived there, and did the Requiem regularly. I’ve sung Carmina Burana and the Armed Man, it always gave me a buzz to be standing inside the music, as it were.
Wow! Get you! We’ve seen the Armed Man been performed twice now and it truly is amazing. I don’t know that particular Beethoven piece . I’ll YouTube it.

Such a lovely photo! Thank you for sharing. Its a bit difficult bird watching in London though :(
When you’re able to go back in the parks you would probably be amazed how many birds you would see. I’ve loved birds all my life, never knew what they were called or anything but now I’m retired I’ve got all day to watch them and am lucky enough to live semi rurally and have a decent sized garden with lots of trees. It’s very relaxing.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any meat in the super market, but bought quite of bit a plant based meat to give it a try.
I friend told me some catering companies are selling to the public online as most of their trade has gone. I did not look into as I do not own a stand alone freezer,

I was hoping to practice my English roasting skills this weekend by cooking a chicken.

I’ve been writing a daily blog on Facebook, all tongue in cheek and then posting a picture that shows life goes on. Also just got a new camera and trying to get some half decent photos of my beloved birds. Particularly pleased with this from yesterday’s walk. A long tailed tit feathering it’s nest.
I’m jealous again! We get parties of long tailed tits travelling through the garden, but none of them have ever been impressed enough to want to call it home.

I'm enjoying the fact that people have more time for each other.

My neighbours are mainly London commuters and although friendly rarely have time to stand and chat. We have all got to know each other more in the last few days, with many of us out in the sunshine, and over the garden fence conversations.

Last night's NHS clapping session was another neighbourhood social event with many joining in. Albeit we all had to shout quite loudly and messages needed to be passed up and down the line.

Everyone seems much more willing to help and support each other. Lets hope some of this stays with us, once the hurly burly of normal life returns.

Last year we had our very dilapidated car port taken down (before it fell on someones head!) - I didnt want the bits of 'good wood' just going off to the dump with the rotten stuff, so i got hammer, saw and nails out and built myself a large long trough. I grew, (for the 1st time ever) Some veg!! Dwarf French Beans, spring onions, celery and tomatoes. - The beans & onions were an enormous success. Yesterday i dismantled the compost heap and refreshed this trough. Im excited to plant again. This year planning same beans, Spring onion, parsley, & coriander. Roll on Summer 🙂

Unfortunately in Scotland, it was very foggy for last two days. But looking forward for a good walk this evening and hopefully some sunshine over the weekend.

Don’t be too jealous, this was from our walk yesterday down by our local river. We also get them on our feeders on occasion but they aren’t loyal at all. I’ve mentally remembered where the tree is and will go and check it out after the weekend. It was actually Mr Eggy who spotted a pair flitting in and out of the hole in the ivy. He couldn’t see what they were, as it was across the river away from humans, it was only when I got my zoom lens trained on them I saw they were long tailed tits. I got a few blank photos!

Walked around the garden this morning as too frightened to go out for exercise as the message to stay at home seems to have missed a couple of small groups of teenagers in the estate where I live. Thankfully most seem to be staying home. During my walk around the garden, I have planned out my weeding for if the weather is nice over Easter as we are being asked to take a few days leave added onto the Easter Bank Holiday. But it was nice to walk around my garden while actually at work.

I'm still going to work as I work in a supermarket. I'm loving seeing the rainbows in people's windows as I walk to/from work. I'm helping my neighbours by getting them shopping some days. We are getting free muffins at work from the management team as a thank you but I got flowers instead.

Hello I am walking my dog once a day very early so no ones around been in isolation 14 days now

Why did I miss this? I never know what's going on. All my life...good grief. I'm never in the loop! :D Can't remember what I did Friday, I've had a couple of sleeps since then.

Stay perky louloulou. 🙂
