Hi Lorrie, sorry youre feeling down. although im not surprised if that the reaction you get when you try to be proactive with your care. Do you have an other options in your area for your care? im now happy and settled at my third hospital after i wasnt satisfied with the treatment i got at the other two. You dont have to stand for it, particularly as carb counting should form the very basis of your regime.

You might not be in a good place right now but you are obviously taking steps to make changes and that the important thing, dont let prehistoric doctors bring you down. You deserve the best treatment and there are places out there you can get it.

xx

Hi Lorrie, I see you are from Rayleigh. I have a friend from your area who had resoundingly bad care too so he asked his GP for a referal else where he now goes to the ULCH. He is very happy with his care there and they are very pro pump too.

In todays 'open market' NHS, you are entitled to be refered to wherever you want to be treated. Speak to your GP and explain that you want to be treated at another hospital or clinic. If they say no, start mentioning things like 'open market' and 'patients charter'.

It's your health and you should have a say in it.

Go for it and good luck.

Have a rant here when you need to, many of us have c**p care and are doing all sorts of things to remedy it!
