And sadly I am not talking about food, as in full of it :(
Just got my Hba1c, cholesterol and BP scores back from the Doc, I'm just a little puzzled, ok a lot
My Hba1c is down but only to 7.4 a total drop of .3 despite use of metformin as prescribed, my cholesterol is down to 3.1, my BP is down to 130/72 and that's after being taken off of the BP tablets because they are causing me to cough dreadfully. I feel as all the hard work I've put in with the diet and exercise and cutting out all the rubbish I had fallen back into the bad habit of eating is a futile effort.
I had hoped for a Hba1c score in the mid to late 6'es but it's not happening despite the serious effort.
I'm a little pi.... oops, I mean ticked off to put it politely. Short of being mega strict and almost having no pleasures in life at all I can't think what else I can do.
Ok, moan over, back to the grind stone. 😛
I'm sure you all know how it feels when you are trying and not getting anywhere.
I've just had a thought that hadn't passed my mind before, I have had a chest infection and a cold in the last six weeks so maybe my Hba1c numbers have been artificially inflated by that. Possible hmmm...?

Hi Jimbo,
sorry you are disapointed with your results :(
2 out of 3 are very good though. the third (A1c) is on the way down so that's good. 🙂
Perhaps list what you eat on an average day then someone can make suggestions as to what can be replaced with what.

Yes you are quite right infections will have a detrimental affect on your blood sugars.

So for a school report you have very good x 2 and 1 x good :D

Thanks Sue, for the good school report card :D
You've made me feel better about it, I suppose I have been over expecting in the achievement department, a bad habit of mine and one I really should knock on the head, a healthy dose of pessimism is required I think. 😛
Ah well, at least I am still managing to keep my weight down, still 14 1/2 stone.
So that's another positive!
