Thank you for sharing your experience with dapaglifloxin. I appreciate the amount of detail you included. While you're taking it for diabetes, I was prescribed it for a boost in weight loss. I'd like to find out how it works for both conditions. Have you had side effects taking it?
I've had no side effects other than that I appear to be losing weight faster than I should be. That's a hard thing to pin down for me as I'm intentionally losing weight on a low(ish) calorie diet, but my perception is that there is a weight loss effect for me.

The most common side effect is urinary tract infections. The medication causes a person to pee glucose, which can feed fungi and bacteria. From what I've read this side effect is more common in women than in men. There are other, rarer side effects to be aware of so do read the patient information leaflet carefully.
