Hope the op went well and that you make a speedy recovery.

Hope it all went smoothly. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hope it all went well Steph. Best wishes. 🙂

Good news. Nothing like your own bed 🙂

Hope all goes well for your op.

Glad it all went well, now rest and recover. X

Speedy recovery.

Hi Steph, glad your home hope you have a smooth recooperation x

Sorry for my late post on here. I hope that you have a good and fast recovery x

Hi Steph. Glad to hear you're home now to enjoy all your home comforts. Take it easy & and be patient 🙂 (((hug))) x

Good it's done. Make sure you take it easy - don't underestimate the depth they had to go into your insides - even through a tiny hole! It's all got to heal - in its own time.

I agree with all the above Steph, this kind of surgery always takes more out of you than you think. It is an assault on the body, and healing has to take place. So take it easy, don't do any heavy lifting- and that includes the laundry basket. It'll take at least four, and more probably six weeks before you feel approximately normal. The less you do now, the quicker you will heal. Fingers crossed for a completely uneventful recovery.

It took me quite a few weeks to get over my laparoscopic cholecystectomy Steph (or Bob-a-job) as it now known. Take it easy and put your feet up.

Hope you're feeling better Stephknits, I imagine it'll take a while to feel completely better, but hopefully you're on the mend now. Did you keep Bob in a jar? My mum has all hers in a jar, what they thought was one very large gallstone turned out to be thousands of little ones, like those cupcake sprinkles only less appealing, fascinating though 🙂

Thanks so much all for your kind words of advice. The leaflet said one to two weeks for recovery, so i have taken the full two weeks off work. I forgot how up and down recovery is. You feel suddenly much better and think you are on the mend, but just as quickly, feel rubbish again. Am having a bad morning so far and seem to have lost the will to do anything, whereas yesterday I was busy planning knitting projects. Am supposed to be out having my nails done shortly that a friend booked for me ages ago, but wish I wasn't and am going to the theatre later with my eldest. I want to lie on the sofa and sleep. Such a shame as both are lovely treats that i never normally do. I dare say i will feel tickety boo shortly and will wonder what i was moaning about
