Family History of Type 1

Developed type 1 at 19 - my maternal grandfather had type 2 (ie prescribed diet & tablets at about 60 ish) .......and that's it!? Since then a first cousin had gestational diabetes. I have two children 15 & 12, as yet not diabetic.

I am type 1 and no-one else is, although my grandma was type 2 diagnosed when she was about 60! and like Lainey a cousin was diagnosed in Feb with gestational diabetes!
