I spent this morning feeling weak and by early afternoon was getting increasingly weak and confused and struggling to walk. I thought it might be another silent migraine but asked Mark to phone GP to be on the safe side (as recommended by NHS 111). GP said to go straight in. She said that there is coarse crackling and has diagnosed a chest infection. 500mg amomoxicillin three times a day. If there is no improvement within 48 hours to call back.

Oh no . I hope the antibiotics work quickly and you feel much better soon
{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}

If it’s not one thing, it’s another, Amanda. Bet you’ll be glad to see the back of January. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

All the best, I hope the antibiotics work quickly, take care x

Thank you everyone. Mark is looking after me very well xx

Thanks Mike, January for the last five years has been really horrible for various reasons. I hope February starts better because in the first week of February I’ve got the follow up to my last lot of lasering and then an ENT appointment...

Hope the antibiotics do the trick soon

Take care Amanda, thinking of you. {{{HUGS}}}

Thankyou everyone. I still feel floored and sleeping lots but Mark has said that I’m more with it than I was yesterday.

Glad you are feeling a bit more with it.
Keep resting and let the antibiotics do their job.

Thank you SB2015.
Well yesterday was a bit weird. Went to bed only four hours after getting up. After an hour I started hearing strange noises, like my partner was scraping wallpaper off the wall, but he wasn’t. I hadn’t got the strength to call to him for 45 minutes. I eventually made it downstairs to start asking him where was my testing machine, is it upstairs etc? Mark had to point out that it was in my hand! It wasn’t a hypo because my BG because that was 6.5. Went back to the GP today who was lovely but said that if I’m not feeling better to phone on Friday and they will check if anything sinister going on. Not helped by dreaming last night that my deceased mum told me that I had lung cancer! Anyhow I’ve spent most of this afternoon in bed and hoping that I will feel better. Also found my glasses that I’d lost this morning on top of the cooker hob....

Sorry to hear your still struggling. Hope you get sorted out soon.

Sounds a bit like a hypnagogic hallucination, Amanda. Shouldn’t worry, it’s nothing pathological. That’s when dreams slip over into waking. It’s probably due to overtiredness. I used to get them a lot when I was younger, still do occasionally.

Course, I might have just a tentative hold on reality. Best way to be, really🙂

A few years ago I lost a screwdriver. I knew it wasn't far away because I'd not actually left the spot I was standing in when I'd last used it. Eventually found it... in my other hand!

Unfortunately, I don't have any excuses, other than total incompetence!

Thank you Grovesy and Mike. Feeling a bit better today and haven’t had any hallucinations or needing to go back to bed in ther morning 🙂

Thank you Grovesy.

So sorry to hear this, AJ, all the best to you - hope you continue feeling better xx
