Didn't get report of x-rays. Saying possibly out today, again.
I think I blacked out when I fell. I don't remember hitting the ground.

Lovely, just what a diabetic needs 🙄 get well soon xx

Food is better than Dec 2014 (that's when I was diagnosed T2) and was in for 3 weeks.
Just about my 6 year dianniversary.

I've been home a little bit now. Heating on, though living room doesn't feel warm yet.

Hospital got Age Concern (? Age UK) to take me home. He had a special verical that took an ordinary wheel chair in the back (I don't normally use one, just when in hospital.) He put me in that chair. Really didn't like how it moved so managed to get him to let me use passenger seat.
Seemed like he never knew what I was saying or was on about the whole time!
Oh, and he was trying to give me other peoples things in the hospital (I was on a ward/shared room/bay at this point)!!

Oh dear, well meaning obviously but not what you need when you’ve been in hospital. Hope you warm up soon. Maybe a blanket or hot water bottle might help. Take good care and glad you are at home x

Wow @Ralph-YK that wrist looks painful. I'm glad you're back home. Be careful, take care

Take care of yourself @Ralph-YK, hope you are warm and as comfy as you can be with that poorly wrist x

Glad to hear you’re home & please take it easy for a while! 🙂

Hospital food is SO carby: actually had to eat lasagne for dinner once as the LEAST carby option; never ate a dessert while in for 2 days despite being encouraged to & lost count of the number times patients were asked if they wanted tea & biscuits throughout the day!o_O

We are just putting the heating onto times too. it’s been a real cold snap here recently!

@Lanny when I was admitted and got my diagnosis I got porridge with sugar and a white roll with jam for breakfast and a bowl of soup and a white bread sandwich for dinner, thankfully was out by the time tea was rolled out but I thought it was pretty shocking xx

I got diagnosed in hospital. As the doctor walk away, from having told me, they brought dinner over. "Right we've got apple pie and custard for you!" Tea had cake and custard. Following day treacle sponge & custard.
Yesterday dinner time was apple pie again. They kept offering icecream, I can't remember the other thing.
Always breakfast ceriel, porridge and bread/toast & jam for breakfast, whenever I've been in. Newer building, toasters set the fire alarm off apparently! So has to be bread instead of toast.
There is a salad option now.

When I went in I had a box of Spironolactone, 25mg. They've upped it to 50mg. They'd taken the box of 25mg off me, and sent my home with a box (new prescription from pharmacy) with 12 tablets of 25mg each.

I dont understand why hospitals don’t cater for diabetics. They wouldnt give someone with a nut allergy a packet of nuts and I’m sure they cater for people with IBS, coeliac, gluten problems etc, why not diabetics. I am going to need to spend some time in hospital (though goodness knows when) so it is a concern.
I’m sorry you were given such rubbish to eat and that they have mucked around with your medication- that’s not good either. I’m a huge fan of the nhs but some areas really do need overhauling.

My last hozzie stay (thankfully just the one night), lunch was potato soup, Lancashire hotpot (containing potato) with mashed...you guessed it...potato. I think I laughed out loud! 😱 :D :D

Glad you’re home now @Ralph-YK.
