whats the normal waiting time to get to see a specialist for eyes when you have maculopathy?

It depends on the degree, and the country you live in. Expect two months, but could be sooner, and not necessarily because it's severe, there may just be a short waiting list. Northerner knows the eye specialists in your part of the kingdom, so if he spots your post he could help.

Thank u I thought it would be quite quick as it's my eyes thank you
Lisa as some of us have already suggested to you, please ring the eye dept to find out when you will be seen. It's not unheard of for apt to be mislaid or forgotten about. You need to help yourself by making the enquiries. 😉

I didn't want to ring the eye department as I wasn't sure how long the waiting list is !

Sorry that doesn't make sense, you want/need to know as it's obviously worrying you so simple solution is ring tomorrow morning to find out.
