wanting some info please regarding my eyes.

recieved my letter from the hosp on saturday and have recieved my appointment for laser surgery in september meantime i have notice a gungy feel at the eyes they are not weaping but feels like cold jelly at the back of my eyes i keep thinking that they are running when they are not

one was wondering wheather it would be worth it making an appointment with the doc knowing that ive got the appointment in september....would it make a difference is there something that can be done meantime ......dont want to waste doc time for something that may be a bit of a silly question?

September is still a long time off - you don't want to spend all the time between now and then worrying. Go and see your Dr or optician - I am sure they will understand - and you will either get reassurance, a presecription for drops or they will try and get you an earlier appointment.

Definitely worth checking out with the optician. I made an appointment with optician last Friday due to seeing a white shape and he thoroughly checked my eyes and diagnosed a floater so put my mind at rest that it is nothing more serious. Hope you get on ok.

Hi I agree with margie, September's 5 months away, so a quick visit to your doctor seems like a good idea. Take care Sheena x

im not amused....contains rant

I THOUGHT I BETTER PUT MY RANT ONTO THE ORIGINAL THREAD

i had an appointment at the hospital today for my eyes and the hospital doctor couldnt beleve that i havent had my eyes surgery which was requested for in march and couldnt beleve me that im still waiting 6 months later.

soo matter of factly he left me in the room and returned to say that i should have had it done a month or two after the transfer for surgery which mean i hould have had it done in april or may time and it was a pointless appointment that i had today because they couldnt continue becaure of high pressure in my right eye........oh and i could make a complaint about my waiting time i am so😡 just now

i have made an appointment with my own doc next week and now got an appointment for my surgery next week meantime my right eye is getting worse and i am wondering if the long term that i would loose my sight because some b....y person cant read URGENT surgery needed asap on a f..king file.

the next step is wondering is there a point of putting a complaint or do i put up and shut up:(😡

sorry rant over

Sorry to hear you've been messed about like this. I would complain.

Complain like mad, keep it polite but firm and ask for a reason in writing why someone has let this slip. Please don't just give up. Take it further up the chain of the NHS if necessary.

Oh and very good luck for your eye op.
