I have received my appointment through for my eye screening for 20th November but wondered if there is anything I should be doing about my feet and tootsies? The nurse, when I was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago, said they looked fine and said there was a good pulse but I certainly getting tingles in them and on the odd occasion I have knocked them they do hurt for a while. She didn’t say anything about what, if anything I should do or who I should see. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
 
You should get an 'annual review' which includes getting your feet and pulses checked.

If you notice any loss of sensation you should certainly book to see your GP. Tingles and pain may be worth discussing too as there is a form of short term nerve pain that can result in very rapidly changed BG levels.

I would keep an eye on things, but try not to worry too much.

In some areas they do the eye screen and foot check together, but in many they are done seperately.Check with your surgery to find out the system in your area.
 
I check my feet daily and bathe them and look for blisters etc and have a mirror on a stick to look underneath. Maybe that is over the top but I need to be able to walk as I am trying to keep everything under control with diet and exercise. Sounds like your feet are fine at the moment but IMHO it is good to keep vigilant about them. If this is your first eye screening don't be afraid. I was and although the drops sting a bit it is all fine and it is good to be reassured that one's eyes are ok. Apologies if I am telling you things that you already know. 🙂
