Eyes again

Phoned hospital today and explained that I was concerned that they hadn't booked me an appointment for the glaucoma clinic although it was due this month......usually a long waiting list but they got me an appointment for 3.30 today. Now keeping everything crossed that this isn't the appointment when they say that I need more surgery

Good to hear you can make use of what was probably a cancelled slot - shows the value of people letting clinics know both when they can't attend and when they check about not getting notification of expected appointments.

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately the news was not as good as I hoped. The scan showed that there is more damage to the optic nerve in my right eye which is the only eye that has reasonable vision. They will repeat the scan in six months before deciding if it is time for more treatment ie surgery that could cause further sight loss.

Thanks Twitchy she thought that there was a possibility that scans taken at different times could show different results - not sure if she was being optimistic but I hope that she was right and that the next scan shows a better result
