Ugg.... The Dreaded Dilation..... Actually it wasn't so bad until I grove back into town a couple of hours later at dusk, who knew car headlights could be so bright:(

The good news is that my eyesight has not changed in the last year, in fact my left eye (long sighted) is better & my right eye (short sighted) is about the same so no surgery discussion this year.
I do wish that the long/short sighted eyes were reversed as I'm rather right eye dominant & it's a pain when shooting clays to have them distinctly blurred even with a corrective lens.

In America, do they do an ordinary sight test and the retinal examination at the same time?

At an Ophthalmologist yes, some places actually take photo's of the retina, where I go it's just handwritten notes... I get it done annually because of my D otherwise it would be every 2 years or more.

Glad to hear there's no change Martin 🙂 My eyes can take up to 4 hours to recover - wouldn't relish driving after 2 😱 🙂

Try asking for the "pregnant ladies" version of the dilation squirt. It's apparently half the strength and apparently wears off a bit quicker.

I've actually been getting away with not having the stuff for the past 6 years. Apparently my eyes are slow to change (and my glasses have auto tint) and they can usually get the pic's done.

I have exactly the same problem, Martin, so I’ve always shot left handed. Mind you, I haven’t shot anything for years. Same with a bow.

I’ve always found my eye exam happens on a sunny day. Even the RayBans don’t help:confused:
