This will be interesting just had a phone call to tell me no eye apts due to the virus so they are going to do them by phone!
What a waste of time.

This is annual retinopathy screening, or what?

Not logical Captain ….. Batty. o_O

Bit strange as surely they need photos to go by?
I guess we will have to wait and see.

My annual screening got cancelled but I see a consultant ophthalmologist every six months and that’s due mid-July and that hasn’t been cancelled yet.

Had a letter yesterday too that my next DSN appointment is to be on the 14th July so looks like they are resuming those.

My apt was with a consultant due to the length of my diabetes so for obvious reasons keeping a close check.
I have no idea how or why they are doing a telephone consult. Waste of time springs to mind.

Oo, I didn't think about this. I see an Eye Consultant for another condition every six months. My July appointment has been cancelled but he doesn't know about my diabetes diagnosis. Should I let the eye department know?

Spoke to a very nice chap who just asked if I had noticed any change in my vision and then told me the local clinics were not going to be held any more so I would have to go to a certain large hospital which is an almost 100 mile round trip from my home. Thanked him very much for his time and asked him to remove me from the clinic list as wasn't going there under any circumstances.
So that was that.

Had a Physio telephone call asking me how my neck was? fractured it last year, she was from a different town/hospital about 25 miles away.
After the consultation about different exercises (four) with my head/neck, she sent me an email with the same exercises and also posted to me the same document.🙄 We have a perfectly good hospital with a very large Physio section, the place is open I was up there last week having my feet sorted and the physio section was open.

The DSN phoned yesterday and I told her about the call, she said that hospital is considered to be in a safe area, as is a different hospital in another area where my Endo appointment is, DSN cancelled that for me because its next week and I haven`t had any bloods done since January.

I agree @Pumper_Sue a waist of time and money, I still love the NHS and what they do for us.
@Sparkle please do as TW has advised you.
