Hi
Just wanted some views on my conversation to find out when my hospital appointment was to see consultant. I have been having injections to stop leakage behind both eyes for over 18months.
On the last appointment the consultant said it seems to have stopped but to make an appointment for 10 weeks on way out. (This was 12 weeks ago) Reception said no clinic so I should call if I. hear nothing from them.
I called last week and was told there was no clinic and no appointment made at all for me l just had too wait for a cancellation in the future.Too many people not enough appointments and there are worse people than me.
How long do I wait?
Sorry so long

Write to your consultant directly @Tillyboo, this way you will get an answer.

Tillyboo if I were you I would contact the consultant or consultant's secretary and explain the situation. If the consultant has said ten weeks then you definitely should have an appointment by now. I totally sympathise because I have had similar problems with eye appointments but the consultants have always been able to help. If they're not able to help then contact your hospital's PALs department. Good luck.

I agree with AJLang. If he said that to you then that's what he will want the clinics booking the appointments may not know this. Fingers crossed you get an appointment soon.
