I have been seeing the DR for last 5 weeks as suffering from extreme tiredness. I have now been told to stop all of my medication for a few days to see what happens. Sometimes I feel the DR's make things up.
I am not sure how a few days off meds would help?

I have had all sorts of tests done for the usual suspects but all clear.

I am sleeping 12 hours in the night, having to leave work each day to sleep for another 4 hours and then wake up and back to sleep again shortly afterwards. Its not the heat either.

Only thing I am wondering myself now is have I suddenly become even more food sensitive now. What I mean is could it be the small amount of carbs that I am eating making me so tired?

Its been going on too long now - really fed up.:(

Try keeping a diary of what you eat, what you have been doing and when you want to sleep. There MIGHT be a connection and will help pin point where things are happening.

It has been quite hot recently and that has been affecting quite a lot of people and making everyone drowsier and sleepier.

I find a day or two off my medication and watching what I eat and do helps fight feelings of fatigue so there could be something in the tablets. I know a couple of mine when I need to take them for tummy problems make me very sleepy

Hi Lucy, sorry to hear how tired you are it's not good is it? :( Have you been tested for pernicious Anaemia, is there any chance you have a virus, something like glandular fever?
Hope things improve soon

Glandular fever was tested for but all clear. We are starting to agree its a virus as all my joints hurt too. Also tested thyroid, calcium. liver and hba1c and all showed nothing concerning.

Fingers crossed it will soon work it's way through your system and you will be back to normal soon 🙂

I hope so Sue - i am normally so active. Have just had low fat yogurt for breakfast and a cup of coffee - and so far okay-ish. I have felt very bloated lately also and fingers and ankles have been very swollen - but still taking frusemide. I am just trying to fathom it out myself as it hasn't shown to be anything medical so far.
Planning on ryvita with prawns for lunch, and wholewheat pasta with pancetta for tea and salad. Will see how today goes.
I am trying to eat small amounts - just to see if it makes a difference.
