I hope things improve for you. I was advised to rest as much as possible for the first two weeks - my MD agreed to some time off. However the issue for me was later when I increased the dose and by then had used all my time off up.

I certainly would try the lying down until the world stops spinning for this week and see if it helps. Also just have very small meals and eat when you need to.

I am just wondering if it is worth checking with GP re the chest pains?

I hope you get through this week okay. I seem to remember the headache clearing quicker than the nausea - about 3 days of it then it lifted.

Let us know how you go.🙂

Well had a better day, thank goodness. Still been quite nauseous and had a thick head for about three to four hours. However, I decided to keep myself busy and washed the car and started to clean the patio. BS a bit all over the place so hope they will settle down soon.

Lucy thanks for your suggestion about the chest pain. I get quite a lot, so unless it gets really bad I just have another spray of Nitromors, also known as TNT, it helps.

Just about to have another dose of Byetta!

Cheers for now.

Spoke too soon the other day. Had a terrible evening, feeling really lousy.

Today still very nauseous and it feels like I've been punched in the stomach, for a while. Still very cold, so will have to see the Doc in the next few days. BS readings all over the place as well.

Not good.

I think this stuff is trying to finish me off. My whole body now aches, the nauseous is getting worse. BS still all over the place so have come to the conclusion it is not for me. At the docs on Wednesday for a discussion about this. I go on holiday to Malta next week and I have no intention of letting Byetta spoil it. Had to forgo my holiday last year due to the hospital giving me a heart attack while they were inserting stents. Such is life!

Really sorry to hear you are having a bad reaction to it Highlander :( Hope your GP is able to come up with a workable solution. Your holiday will probably do more for your health than the Byetta sounds to be doing currently! 🙂

Went to see the Doc this morning. I'm now off Exenatide and been referred to the Diabetic Clinic for insulin. The Doc agreed that it was not working for me. So will have to wait until after my hols to see what the hospital have to say.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get on with the Exenatide Vic. But the good news is that you shouldn't get the same kind of problems with insulin, although it can bring other challenges.

My wife thinks I am almost normal again - don't know where she gets that idea.

Must say I feel a lot better today and am not missing the pain in the chest. The Exenatide had raised by heart rate quite a lot, which didn't help the angina etc.

I must ask AlisonM what the Inverness Diabetic Clinic is like. If she goes there of course.

Wakman just wondering how u getting on?

I was on Byetta now I'm on Victoza, hope all is going positively
