Hi everyone!
I have just joined the forum and I am still new. I am happy to finally be able to converse with people I could relate to. I have two questions that are bothering me. I wonder if anyone could assist me in this regard. My questions are as follows:
  • Is it advisable to exercise without taking insulin when you only take insulin at night.
  • The readings under four do not make me feel I am about to get into a hypo , what can I do to ensure I take precaution to avoid getting into a hypo

I'm a type-1 so I'm not sure I can really answer question 1 but I'd love to know the answer!
However, when I was first diagnosed I carried my test kit everywhere and tested myself every thirty minutes to make sure I knew what was going on and kept a journal of food eaten during the day, what time I ate and what time I started exercise (including type of exercise) and then, of course, what happened to my blood sugar - pretty important that last point. Information is everything so keep a diary (I'm 15 years in and run ultra marathons and I still keep doing the basics).

Good luck, I have no doubt you'll figure it out.

Hello @bogobe welcome to the forum.🙂 Its individual to each person, I personally only exercise by walking and have to be very careful with hypo`s. Always check BS before starting and make sure you have hypo treatment with you at all times. Hypo awareness is also an individual personal reaction, I don`t get any signs until I`m down to low 3`s or most of the time mid 2`s but other members will be a lot higher. Just trying to point out we are all different and as I`m sure you are aware, testing is the only way to know what affects you.
