I have been on Exante site today to get a top up of items and they seem to have massively reduced the range - maybe its a stock thing and stuff will be back when replenished, or maybe they have discontinued them - but I need some meal replacement bars (cant do a shake for breakfast, it doesn't touch the sides). The ones on the site are mostly the really sickly chocolatey ones and I cannot bear them, I preferred the peanut and choc, banana peanut and choc - those sorts. Defo cannot eat a chocolate fudge meal bar for breakfast. I would be sick haha. Can anyone recommend any other brands? I have been searching the site but all the threads seem to reference Exante. Thank you in advance.

I do remember doing slim fast a few years ago and they had some lovely meal replacement bars but not sure if they still exist or are even low carb/sugar, so I will go and have a look, but anyone who has any recommendations would be gratefully received.

This is interesting ......

I have used the Exante diet plan months ago as part of the Fast 800 plan, and went down from very nearly 90kg to about 82kg
But when I returned to making my own food & meals I have gradually crept up to about 86kg, so I was thinking of going back on to a diet plan

However, I too remember that some of the Exante meal bars and shakes were quite sweet & sickly; in fact I included a spoonful of natural yogurt when I made up the shakes, which cut back the sickliness.

I've seen HELSBELLS similar post in the Weight Loss section, and have just had a brief glance at the Kee Diet website
It looks like they have a good range so probably tomorrow I'll have a longer look and order some of their products

I'll also need to navigate their website for the best deals & prices as like most of these diet schemes, they have an extensive and somewhat confusing range of products, offers, & sale items

Yeah there’s always loads of discounts on Exante so hopefully they do too. I’ll be having a look tomorrow as well

I’m sure I remember someone saying they’d used the Tesco shakes before but not sure if they do meal bars

They do, I can't remember the flavours though, I mostly used the shakes.
The other main supermarkets do some as well.

I found the same thing with Exante - far too sweet and all my less sweet favourites have vanished. I have used Tesco Slim sachets (vanilla or banana - 10 for £4.50) as I found them less sweet. However they say to be made up with semi skimmed milk rather than water. I think the carb value made up is about the same. I always used unsweetened almond milk which reduces the carb value.

No need to count carbs, any version of the Newcastle Diet using shakes is low carb by definition.
One of the reasons it's so good for type 2

tesco do meal bars too with their shake range, just search "tesco slim" on their site. 4 bars for £4.80. 10 shakes are £4.50 and vanilla shake with instant coffee in is actually lovely :D
Not on shake diet but sometimes still have that in the mornings.

I used to have a packet of Belvita Blueberry biscuits in the car.
One biscuit covered a meal in a pinch.

you can often get exante bars on ebay. But a good alternative is the lighter life bars.
