I've got my latest exams results.
Bad news are that the hospital I normally go that is across the street is going to close soon.
So they sent samples in another centre so the secure web download for exams was unavailable.
I had to make a queue with other angry people and get the dead tree format. Now I have to find another centre.

Fasting BG is 79 mg/dl (aka 4.4 mmol/l) that is in the low range.
HBa1C is 29 mmol/l.

To achieve these results I am following the advice and using the carb&cals book or a scale.
And the most overlooked advice is to eat wholegrain foods not industrilaay made (that is written on the book! nobody seems to read them). Ok I don't eat potatoes because I don't like them except deep fried so I stopped to eat them and I prefer fresh fruits, especially pears, apple, plums, oranges so my carb intake is mainly from unprocessed foods.
I have to talk to my GP because biluribin and mincroalbinurie/creatinine ratio is a bit high h.
I suppose that she will make me a 24 hour sample collect. Hope that was only a spot problem...

Terrific results Mike! 🙂 I've always had elevated bilirubin - my GP thinks it may be (harmless) Gilbert's Syndrome, hope it's not a problem for you 🙂

Agree, Northie, a raised bilirubin in isolation is neither here nor there. And that kidney result can be caused by simple dehydration, but I suspect a 24 hour sample will be requested.

Great results Mike! (Just wanting to up the proportion of posters in this thread with the same forename) :D

Shame about the hospital closing - hope you can find another centre without too much hassle.

Great results. Well done.

Tag Archive for _keep it up_ - Chris Piascik.jpg Fantastic results Mike ~ you worked at it continuously with determination to achieve an HbA1c of 29 (You've beaten my HbA1c of 32 this year) You're fortunate that you can tolerate the fruit you eat ~ one banana sends my levels soaring!😱 Keep doing what you are doing Mike ~ it's obviously working for you :D Such a dior shame that the hospital is marked for closure. Well done again and take care.

Well done, Mike. Brilliant results!😛:D😛

Well done Mark. Not good news about the hospital though.

Thank you all. I'm happy with the situation.
Bought some Lindt 90% bitter chocolate that was on special offer to celebrate...

I don't eat bananas, actually never liked them anyway especially if too ripe, and I don't eat fruit alone but only after having eaten some other thing.

I can't understand why they are making this move. The biggest problem is that people that are working here are totally upset. My eye doctor and surgeno accepted a position in a Milan hospital. Nursers that were normally nice anc cheerful are now rude and upsetting, I've read on a nurse's union message board they are organizig a strike due possible lay-offs, guess what.
