Hi,
Don't know if anyone else has had a sharp rise in BG after switching from Xylitol to Erythritol but would like to hear if anyone has.
Have been controlling my Diabetes with a Low Carb - High Fat diet and had steady readings ranging from 4.1 to 5.2/5.7 daily depending on what 'Treats' I allowed myself.
Switched from Xylitol to Erythritol and my BG shot up ranging from 6.2 to 8.3. I keep a record of what I'm eating, (have only been diagnosed recently with T2 after Brain Surgery), and am sure that the only thing that had changed was the new sweetener. Cut out Erythritol and am now back to 4.1 to 5.2/5.7.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Brian.
