5 months ago I was put on this medication. This week at a review I was told that my blood glucose had gone UP! Anybody had a similar reaction.
I also take Metformin and Gliclazide.
I am now on Dapagliflozin - any thoughts?

Hi Guillaume
I have been prescribed Dapaglifozin 10 mg and have yet to started it . From what you say I don't think you're self testing to check your daily blood glucose levels but I would recommend you do that as it's the only way you can find out what is happening to your glucose levels more frequent than you have a Hb1Ac test.
I cannot see how you can judge the effect of the dapaflozin without having your surgery/hospital doing regular blood tests.
I was prescribed Metformin and Gliclazide before my bg levels shot up and I then went on insulin therapy. When I start taking the dapaflozin I will have to reduce the insulin dose by half to compensate for the effect of the flozin.
If you are now taking the Dapaflozin are you experiencing any of the side effects of this med?

Hi, I take Empagliflozin as well as metformin and gliclazide. Ive been on all 3 tablets since October last year and yes my most recent HbA1c has gone up and so have my waking levels. There are other factors possibly affecting mine at the moment as well though.
Do you self test? As with that combination of drugs you can be at risk of hypo's, so your gp should have given you a testing kit.

Thanks for your reply but if you READ my post you will see it concerned Empagliflozin

Obviously I read your post and you stated you were now on Dapaflozin. I just gave you my thoughts as you requested. But never mind.
