Hi

I think i need to review my meds i think that Metformin is giving me smelly wind from the never region.

Damn embarasing.

Anyone else having similar problems.

Well, it does! - aka Metfartin, innit? 😱

Two things - often people only get wind or the runs when they eat more carbohydrate than their body can handle, even with the tablets! - so the cure for that is to eat less of em. Other thing if it isn't caused by the former, there is a Slow Release version of Met - 'Glucophage SR' which is generally kinder to the tum.

If you've been taking it for a while and maybe had the wind without the smell, then it might be something you've eaten or a gut infection. If new to metformin then it may be something you have to live with or try a different type as TW suggests.

Hope you're fresh as a daisy soon! 🙂

I'd add sometimes stress can cause these symptoms too. If you have ruled everything out have a chat to your doctor.

Might be the make of them maybe it is just chance but the metformin in the Brown backs always does that too me the blue and the yellow packs I'm fine with.
