Ooh, I'll try to watch that.

Watched it, it didn't really say anything about the diabetes, just that one of the daughters was a Type1. They concentrated on how to cook gluten free meals from scratch. The fish stew with chickpeas, onion, spinach and tomato looked good.

Programme concentrated more on batch cooking food, which is naturally gluten free, for a family of 1 parent and 5 children from 18 to 8 years. Eg large pot of mince and veg divided into shepherd's pie, chilli con carne etc. Family could save several thousand pounds a year to put towards an overseas holiday, as previous shopping habits were somewhat chaotic and expensive.
I'm not sure how the girl with type 1 diabetes was able to calculate her insulin doses from packets with white labels and apparently no nutritional information, but I'm sure information was available, just not filmed.

I must admit I thought that. Like a one pot dish. I would probably add a few par boiled new potatoes.

Oh, that would be a good idea, I ran it past OH who reminded me that he loathes chick peas with a passion. ( I wondered why I never did them) I could add some new potatoes to his bit and chick peas to mine and daughters as I served it out.
