Easter eggs

I would have though dark chocolate egg would be OK as long as you don't eat the whole thing in one go. ALDI have some boxes of small eggs 12g each which are 5.8g carb per egg. They also have some dark choc eggs as well. Pretty similar to dark chocolate bars in terms of g carb /100g choc.

None have a boiled egg 😉

Well that depends on you personally

We all tolerate different things and different amounts so there is no clear answer any of us can give you, assuming you aren't going to eat a whole egg in one go then a small amount at a time shouldn't do too much damage, eat it after a meal or do some exercise after to try and limit it's effects

The only way you'll know the effects is by testing before eating and then again 2 hours after, you'd be looking for no more than a 2-3mmol rise

Although the same condition, diabetes really is such an individual thing so you have to work on finding what works for you as the individual you are
xx

Ohhhh, I used to scoff a whole large Cadburys Easter egg in about 5 minutes. Even those guey small egg things. Hmmm. Loved them.

Now I wouldn't go near them. Ever!!! I would rather eat well and feel well.

But that's me.

Stop your making my mouth drool, I would put my eggs in the fridge then lie in bed with a small chunk then end up eating the whole lot and we are talking big egg's. No wonder I ended up here, still it was nice at the time.

I have been known to consume best part of a Thornton's casket unaided, once in my life. Took me quite a while and frankly I was utterly sick of it before I had completed the task but there you go. Oh yes, I did have Type 1 diabetes at the time, so served me right. I can eat a bit of choc and put it back in the fridge. Regrettably neither of those who have resided with me have the same self discipline hence a week later when I fancy another bit - it's most unlikely to be there.

My Easter choc treat is a dark chocolate Lindt bunny. Eaten in small quantities (no more than one ear at a time!) over several days.

Crème egg'd were ghastly sweet, but your tastes change, I never ate another when mine did , way before my diagnosis, the same with confectionery bars like Mars, and others, won't touch them now, but high grade dark chocolate , I can't resist ,an Aldi small bar over 2 days is enough.

You forgot to mention the ear's on a Lindt bunny are a foot long 😉
