Thanks for the information. I am aware of the testing before driving and keep a glucose drink in the car and the job would involve more frequent shorter distances rather than long journeys. I have had gestational diabetes in the past and was on short acting insulin and experienced a couple of hypos driving so I'm a reassured that I know what hypos feel like and I can deal with them.

Hey Copepod, we've had two members on DSF renew recently - one took 7 days but the other took a whole 11 days !

I know DVLA can be very quick. I don't think I've ever waited more than 14 days from posting my form to receiving new licence, usually about 3 months before old one is due to expire. However, I was speculating that NI agency might be even quicker, as it's a smaller province and government services there are generally very efficient.

Yes it the DVA here. Never paid much attention to the finer detail of the name until you said that. They have been pretty efficient when I changed my ROI licence or with change of address but I'm not sure I can be as generous to say all government depth are as efficient but they certainly could be worse 🙂

Oh - the UK would have to be called the 'State of Nirvana' if ANY Gov Dept were efficient !
