Great news - thanks so much for coming back to tell us the happy end of the story! 🙂
 
:D Thank you everyone! He drove the car for the first time tonight since December 2010 (checking his levels first of course) with me in the passenger seat .... felt weird😱 but good, all at the same time :D
 
Congratulations, great news.

Gives me encouragement, my applkication for renewal is somewhere in the DVLA now, having got the all clear from a doc

Guess what??? We've heard from the DVLA today and my husband has got his licence back nearly a year since he had it revoked !!!!!! So so so so so pleased!!!! (Can you tell 🙂

Thank you all for your advice and support, we really appreciate it! Feel very stunned / pleased / emotional etc. and he's pretty chuffed too! 😉

It is a waiting game unfortunately, but you will always get there in the end.....🙂

Stan - As the previous poster said, it is a waiting game but you will get there in the end. Unfortunately, the DVLA don't seem to deal with these things with any great speed, keep positive and the good news will come through the letterbox eventually. Good luck with it all and keep us posted. 🙂
