i sent my provisional forms off abou 3 and half weeks ago and then recieved the medical forms.. sent themback 3 weeks ago and stil have not recieved the licience... does any one know how long it takes as its my 18th in 2 days and its my only ID :( x

Hi Torz, welcome to the forum 🙂 Can't help regarding the license - I got mine 33 years ago! Hopefully, someone will be along with more up to date info 🙂

Torz - sounds like it's worth a phonecall to DVLA to check when you can expect to get back your licence. Medical checks involve writing to your diabetes consultant (if you have one & you gave details on form) or having a medical examination at your GP (if you don't). Generally takes a few weeks for renewal, but not sure about first licence.
There are other proof of age cards eg CitizenCard (costs ?15), but I doubt you'd get it back in 2 days. Can you carry your birth certificate to prove your age? Admittedly with no photo, some places might not accept it as age ID.
