Kaylz, I can fully understand why a diagnosis of type I in your 20s would knock your confidence, as I know how I felt getting a type II diagnosis at 54 and I don't think my diagnosis is even comparable to getting a type I diagnosis. But you are coping brilliantly and your confidence will come back, as for anxiety I know how debilitating that can be, despite being a confident person I suffer with anxiety, I know that is almost contradictory but all of a sudden I can have an anxiety attack about something I have done for years, like going to work, been in current job for almost 16 years and all of a sudden one day had an anxiety attack and was frozen on the door step. One morning I had an anxiety attack about getting out of bed and it was on a weekend.
You are stronger than you give yourself credit for and very supportive of others, so congratulate yourself and look for the positives in yourself, we can see them.
