I mentioned drops for dry eyes at the MeetUp but wanted to confirm details before posting. The drops are ?Viscotears Liquid Gel?. They are available over the counter but your GP may give you a script. I do not use them regularly but they help on a bad/long day in front of a VDU.

Hi Michael, do you know if it's fine to use with contact lenses?

I spend a fortune on eye drops as I've always suffered from dry eyes. Evidently my tearducts don't produce fluid normally according to my optician. The only time my eyes aren't dry is when I cry.

READ TO THE END PLEASE! The instructions say they are fine with contacts BUT you have to use the drops 30 minutes before putting them in. If you have an ongoing problem with dry eyes your GP may give you a prescription for them.

I use Viscotears without problems. Put them at least half an hour before the lenses.
