Driving license

Sounds awful for you. And worry we don't need. Feels like this week has been a constant battle. I need my new license not only to drive, but i have to pick up my new car Oct & not sure that will be possible without my license. Should've had car in Aug but apparently there are no cars available in UK!!
Then I'm told my libre account is being deleted. Why i don't know as i use it daily. Emailed libre, still waiting on reply.
And covid cases are crazy in my area & its making me nervous again.
Roll on 2022!!
Hope you all get your licenses back soon & those needing to renew don't have any problems.
 
I've never bought a brand new car but we have bought 2 new motorbikes and 2 new motorhomes in the last 20 years, latest moho was 2013. Not one single garage where we have bought the vehicles has EVER asked to see either of our driving licences - why on earth would they? Might need to ask if it's being supplied under the Motability heading, to ensure that you qualify for the scheme I spose, that would be reasonable - or some other specialist vehicle that only X. Y or Z are allowed to own - same as when you buy either a shotgun or a firearm because the gun dealer must record your certificate/licence details in order to legally sell you it, and does indeed have to submit those details to the Government whenever they ask him to.

I'd tell the garage to get knotted if they asked me to show them my licence when picking up an ordinary car - they are not the Police! It is sometimes useful for photo ID though.

Its for a motability car so I've always had to give them my driving license.
 
Right - I have no experience of such.
