dr weaning me of insulin!!!!

dr trying to wean me of insulin (type 2) couldn't be happier i changed my diet and dr said he will try to wean me of insulin. 7 units a day now instead of 14.should my blood sugar not go over 10 in 2 weeks then down to 3 units and should it not go over 10 at 3 units a day i can possibly stop taking it. lantis.good news.!!!!!!!!!
