Rang doctors today regarding ECG, the receptionist said the doctor put a note on my file just saying 'no regime change needed', ok so what the **** does that mean? Needless to say not helping my mood, why, oh why, don 't they just speak in good old plain ENGLISH, whats wrong with saying alls ok, or we don't need to do anything, really is that too much to ask????

Sorry rant over!

Shirl

I would call again. That note means to carry on as you are with no changes to your medication. Ask if you can speak to a Dr as you want to know what the ECG showed and how to address the problems you had that necessitated it.

I would make another appointment so you could discusss what they thought they might find from the ECG, and what are the alternative suggestions now that that can be excluded. Hope you get some answers soon - and in English! 🙂

No, it's not to much to ask Shirl, I totally agree with you. Get back in touch with the Dr and ask for a nice, clear, plain English, result of the test/tests. It's that simple ( to us that is 😉 Hope it goes better next time. Sheena x

Thanks for replies, will try to get appointment for Thursday, can't go tomorrow.

Sometimes professionals forget we don't all know the technical terms for these things. Ask for it to be explained in everday words that most of us understand.

Hi Shirl.
"No regime change" means they are not going to bomb the hell out of you like they did to Saddam and Gadaffi.😉

But seriously ask to see the ECG print-out and have it explained to you.
It was only when I did that after several ecgs over the years that a Doc told me that were investigating a hole in the heart(ASD).
