Hi all

I've been given 4 Sensors by a T1 who has no use for them now but they all have a date of 30/4/20.

Just wondering whether it's worth using them or should I just dispose. Grateful for any opinions. 🙂

Well you might as well try one, but if it doesn’t work then chuck them all away. I understood that as long as you start them on or before the use by date they will work, but don’t know what happens if you start them afterwards. You might not be able to return it to Abbott if it doesn’t work if it's out of date.

Thanks Sally

That's what I was thinking. Don't expect a refund as I paid nothing for them 😉

I am pretty sure I have used Libre after use by date. After a while the enzymes on the sensor filament will degrade after a while, so it will be even more important to recheck with fingerstick BG if any readings don’t match your expectations or how you are feeling.

Hope they work well for you!
