I'm sure I have re somewhere that forearms are okay to use to test. That any good for you?

Yep every where else is fine its only feet and hands that are affected.
Thank you🙂

I'm sure in my test strip boxes it has a picture of all the parts you can use. I bet toes would hurt anyway! :0 x

Ear lobes are good for BG tests (might need to practise with a mirror), and don't have many nerve endings so fairly painless. If you suspect a hypo though, you should always test on a finger, because the blood supplied to fingers (lots of nerve endings) gives a truer reading.

Having my ears pierced once was bad enough, I wouldn't want to inflict BG testing on my earlobes, you'd soon be covered in scabs. Might be OK in an emergency, but not like 'for ever' or 'a long enough time' like caroleann needs.

Some stabbers used to come with a different 'end' to use on forearms - I have never tried it though.

I hope it works for you.

Well, my sister's ex used to exclusively test on his earlobes (with the aid of a little compact mirror he carried about in his d-kit!), and didn't have scabby ears 😛. Having said that, my son won't hear of it 😱

I used to test on my earlobes sometimes as a child, just for a change. Looking back its quite sad that I found it exciting to use my ears or toes, it was almost like a treat!

Really feel for you, Carolann. Hope u find a solution. 😱
