Hi. Just a quick question. My nephew drinks loads of diet coke. Is this ok or should he stop or reduce it at least?

Diet Coke won't affect blood glucose levels if your nephew lives with diabetes. Having said that too much water will kill you.

There are lots of theories as to the perils of diet drinks. I'm not entirely sure I'm 100% convinced by any of them, but as in most things in life, moderation is probably the best and safest bet.

I drink a couple of glasses of diet squash a day, and diet fizzy drinks less frequently - and as far as I'm aware it's never caused me any problems and I've been doing that for decades!

I believe Diet Coke is poison, but I have one as a treat once in a blue moon. 🙂

There is caffeine free diet coke mainly in 2 litre bottles. Not as popular i think and found in supermarkets and I've seen it in a mini supermarket shop
